September 2007 The Tudhoe Village Show - is an annual event which takes place the first week end in September and is located in the rear garden of The Green Tree. It's a fantastic family event that has a long history and association with the village.Why not come along to the next show and see the local areas vegetables, flowers/ arrangements, photography and home produce. Important Notice Sadly the 2008 Tudhoe Village show has had to be cancelled due to the summer flooding at The Green Tree.   October 2007 Children In Need  - The Green Tree raised  £150:00 toward the BBC's Children in Need Appeal, thank  you to everyone who took place or contributed at the event.   October 2007 Halloween - A great spooky night was had by all  The Green Tree raised £200:00 for the Tudhoes Young Peoples "Explorers" Group, who transformed our car   park into a fantastic Halloween wonderland. The award is in recognition of Licencees that "Serve the Perfect Pint" and is given by an independent body who visit every year to ensure that the required high standards are maintained. Hopson has been awarded full Membership to The British Institute Of Inn Keeping   (BII). Membership is awarded to those Licencees who promote high standards of professionalism and have shown commitment to raising retail standard. Well done Murrie !   December 2007 "2008 SHINE Awards " - The Green Tree is listed as a nominee for the first stage of the "2008 SHINE Awards " Nominees are selected from Punch Taverns 8,400 strong estate and rewards those houses who deliver an exceptional customer experience. The regional finalists to go forward to the National Final will be announced early next year. This is both a fantastic acheivement and accolade for The Green Tree for which we say a huge big   Thank You to all our staff and customers !   Sunday 25 May 2008 DeeExpus Project - The Green Tree is very pleased to play host to the very talented   DeeExpus who are holding a "Listening Party"   to commence the launch of their brand new album "Half Way Home". DeeExpus has been the solo project for a number of years of Andy Ditchfield, a Songwriter and Parapetetic Musician , based here in County Durham.   A chance reunion with old friend and singer Tony Wright however, led to DeeExpus expanding into two people for the first time. Space is limited at The Green Tree and tickets are by invite only, so check out the DeeExpus website for details.
