DVD Shoot ! At the begining of a very busy forthcoming year for DeeExpus, which includes gigs in the UK and Poland . DeeExpus have decided to chronicle their year with a DVD recording events as they unfold. Recording of the DVD started in earnest with a "fly on the wall " interview with band members, where else than the bar here at The Green Tree !

Amazing! Kim Cattrell calls in at The Green Tree for lunch - Following weeks of planning actress Kim Cattrall, Golden Globe winner, Hollywood actress and star of Sex and the City called in at The Green Tree-1727, for lunch ( please see web page - Kim Cattrell ). Miss Catrell was filming the final episode of the BBC's popular series "Who Do You Think You Are"
It was a lovely afternoon and Miss Cattrell thanked The Green Tree for an "Amazing Afternoon"

Love is in the Air Well - unless you've been living on Mars recently , Murrie & James have been making marital arragements. Murrie got off the blocks first this Saturday with the very first of 3 no. Epic Hen do's ( See pic for an idea of the scale of this absolutely monumental operation) .

James plumbed for an "open barn" camping, activity, beer and Beatles based, Coo Coo a Joo( sure I've spelled that wrong) tour of the Lakes, based at Rookin House http://www.rookinhouse.co.uk/ .

The bride was absolutely stunning the groom looked handsome, Auckland Castle was mighty impresive, one of the hottest September days on record and everyone turned up and had the "Best of Days" only one thing to say -

We held a fun Race Night in aid of Cancer Research UK. There were some dodgy nags ( Dusty Carpet - it will take some beating !ouch ...) and some dodgy bets. All in all we raised £520 for this very worthy cause. Thank you to all who came along to make this a great fun evening.

It's The Green Tree's annual charity Halloween Party ! and this year it's in aid of Motor Neurone Disease. It's all about fun so dress up and bring the kids along. There will be face painting, spooky games, hot dogs and prizes. Come on it's all about fun and helping an excellent charity too
It all starts at 6:30 pm!
Update - Once again another great evening for all the children, family and friends who came along and enjoyed a "silly" evening while raising £255:00 in aid if MND - Motor Neurone Disease !

The Annual Charity Lunch
The organisers of this year’s event, Adam Walker and Scott Miller, are themselves both veterans who have served 5 and 4 years respectively. They were handed the organisational reins by the former organiser, Sam Stoker. The lunch was attended by 61 gentlemen hosted excellent 'side splitting' entertainment by comedian and former member of the Grumble Weeds, Tony Joe.
A raffle, auction and presentation outlining the work of Help for Heroes was given by Gulf War and Northern Ireland veteran, Pete Molloy which raised a stunning £2,094.25 !!!!!

The BBC & The Teletubbies come to The Green Tree !
The Green Tree was host yet again to the BBC as they set up their cameras to film a part of a documentary about Anne Wood CBE. Anne was born in Spennymoor and is best known as the creator of succesful childrens programmes such as the Teletubbies and most recently In the Night Garden, which won a BAFTA Children's award. Anne and the crew enjoyed lunch at The Green Tree and signed our visitors book wishing that “The Green Tree will bloom for ever !”
